Aden Barbuta is a 19-year-old harpist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Performance in Harp and Organ with a minor in Business at Walla Walla University. She began studying piano at age five before discovering the harp at seven, an instrument that quickly became her passion.

As a homeschooled student, Aden had the opportunity to perform extensively throughout Northern California. She served for seven years as Principal Harpist of the Sacramento Youth Symphony's Premier Orchestra and was an active participant in the Sacramento Chamber Music Workshop, the Rising Stars Chamber Program under Susan Lamb Cook, and performances with both the Sacramento State Symphony Orchestra and the Auburn Symphony with Dr. Ryan Murray. She has also served as Principal Harpist of the Pacific Youth Symphony under Thomas Derthick.

Aden's recent achievements include First Prize at the Yvonne LaMothe Schwager Competition, participation in the Curtis Institute Harp Colony, the Great Composers Art of Strings program, and selection as an NPR From the Top Fellow and featured broadcast musician.

Aden’s teachers have always been a blessing and an immense encouragement. She has studied with Dr. Jaquelyn Venter, Madame Fontan-Binoche, Linda Wood-Rollo, and currently with Dr. Beverly Wesner-Hoehn. Through her performances and studies, Aden continues to develop as a versatile musician dedicated to artistic excellence and meaningful collaboration.
